Bo Stroup

Coach Stroup is a native of Macon, GA. He played high school soccer four years at Stratford as a defender and midfielder under head coach James Jordan. He started playing club soccer at Macon Soccer Club (MGSA/Macon Hearts) at a very young age, and then he took his career to Atlanta where he played for the Alpharetta Ambush ‘93 club team that was the 2010 national champion in U.S. youth soccer. In addition, Coach Stroup was a 2010 Region III champion and U.S. youth ODP national champion. Coach Stroup broke three school records for assists in a game (6), assists in one season (25), and career assists (49). In 2009, he was named the Joel Hatcher MVP and won rookie of the year in 2007. Coach Stroup was named to the all-region team in 2008, 2009 and 2011 during his prep career, which finished with 70 assists and 40 goals.

After High School, Coach Stroup accepted a soccer scholarship to continue both his soccer and Academic career at Georgia State University. Coach Stroup started 69 matches and played in 76 in defense during his four year career at Georgia State. He totaled more than 5,927 minutes played and recorded six career assists. He attempted 32 shots, including 11 on target. Coach Stroup was on the Dean's List - 2012 Spring Semester, 2012 Fall Semester, 2013 Fall Semester, 2013 Spring Semester and 2014 Spring Semester, and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll – 2011 Fall Semester during his career with the Panthers.

Coach Stroup starting his coaching career right after College and returning to Macon. He served as a Select coach for SAF, and most recently as Middle School head coach at Mount de Sales.
