Macon Soccer Club stakeholders, the following guidelines are adapted from the Georgia Soccer General Health and Safety Operational Protocols.
These guidelines apply to Coaches/Trainers, Players and Spectators for Select, Academy, and Recreational Teams/Events.
Guidelines for COACHES/TRAINERS:
o Ensure the teams and spectators are aware of these regulations
o Must check their temperature and be afebrile (no fever / <100.4) prior to coming to fields o Teams may enter the field of play 45 minutes prior to their game
o Ensure the previous game participants and spectators have vacated
o Equipment used for warmup should not be handled by players or other attendees
o Equipment should be disinfected after use, including the game balls
o Face coverings are strongly encouraged pre, during and post-game
o Face coverings are required anytime when players are within 6 feet
o Follow the referee prompts for pre-game check in and coin toss
o Following the game, coaches and players should vacate the area immediately to minimize cross
traffic
Guidelines for PLAYERS:
o Any player that has an underlying health condition should discuss with their health care provider
prior to participation
o Must have temperature checked by their guardian and be afebrile (no fever / <100.4) prior to
coming to the fields
o Team benches will be removed to encourage social distancing
o Players will line up their bags 6 feet from their teammates’ bags
o There will be no pre- or post-game handshakes
o There will be no sharing of water, food and/or equipment with teammates
o In the event of an injury, any persons involved with the injured player will be masked o Physical contact is discouraged during celebrations and post-game activities
o Maintain a 6-foot distance with the referee
Guidelines for SPECTATORS:
o Are permitted to the sidelines once prior game spectators have left the area
o Will not congregate together and will follow social distancing guidelines
o Who are not from the same family, must maintain 6ft social distance while on venue
o Should immediately leave the sideline following the final whistle
o Will stay on the opposite side of the field across from their teams’ side
o Are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings
General Admission:
o Temperature checks done prior to coming to complex by families
o No benches on the fields (except spectator bench on field #1)
o Spectator bench on field number #1 available with continued 6-foot social distancing
o All Trainers/coaches have a virtual plan ready in case of team quarantine
o Tents will be allowed with social distancing.
