Marcelo Plada

Coach Plada and his family relocated to Middle GA the summer of 2021, and quickly became a part of our MSC family. Coach Plada brings with him a very extensive soccer coaching career, which began in 2005 at the Ottawa Fury Soccer Association as the Head Coach of a U14 girls' team. During his stint at this organization (2005-14), coach Plada managed and developed customized youth soccer program, coached the Men and Women Senior Professional Development reserve team (18 and older), provided monthly developmental assessments and recommendations to players, and provided guidance and enabled many youth soccer players to obtain partial to full scholarships both in Canada and the US.

In 2015, Coach Plada took on the role of Assistant Coach for the CISM (Canadian Armed Forces) Soccer Canada Men's Team. Coach Plada was quickly promoted to Head Coach in March 2015, where he led a staff of 8 members and oversaw the development of 80+ soldiers/athletes across Canada. He planned and created yearly planning programs that prepared elite-level athletes for international competition, focusing on strength and conditioning, mobility, and mental performance. During his years at CISM, Coach Plada also established a strategic Mission Statement and Vision for the program, started a grassroots program, and led the National team to positive results at the Military World Trophy in Oman.

Coach Plada is currently working on finishing his Canada National A Coaching License, and also holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering , an MBA in Executive Management, United Soccer Coaches Professional Development Certificate, and a Special Topics Diploma.
