MSC Hires New Programs' Directors

Brad Ruzzo (Select Director)

Coach Ruzzo’s rich coaching history, he is currently Mercer’s Men Head Coach, a position that he has held since 2008. During his time at Mercer he was selected the Southern Conference Coach of the years twice (2014 & 2018) when Mercer were crowned SoCon Regular Season champions , and the Atlantic Conference Coach of the year once (2012). He has the highest winning percentage in program history among coaches who have coached 20-or-more matches, and is the winningest Coach in Mercer history with 115 wins. He has taken Mercer to 3 NCAA Tournament appearances.

Prior to working at Mercer, Coach Ruzzo was the Assistant Coach at Bradley University (2000-2007), and Co-Director at Central Illinois Soccer Academy (CISA). He has also coached OPD teams at the State and Regional levels, and he possesses the USSF “A” License.



Among his many duties as Select Director at MSC, Coach Ruzzo will be responsible for elevating the development and experience of our current players, while also growing and promoting our successful Programs in the Middle GA community. Coach Ruzzo will also focus his efforts on developing our current coaching staff, and recruit new high caliber coaches to enhance our current staff. Lastly, he will serve as a liaison between our Select Program and our own Academy and Recreational Programs, as well as High School and Middle School programs in Middle GA.   

Seth Berkebile (Academy Director)

Coach Seth joined MSC in the Spring of 2019 as an Assistant Coach. For the Fall 2019 Season, Coach Seth was assigned as head coach to our MSC's U16 Girls, leading the team to a 2nd place finish on GYSA's Athena C Division. 

Coach Seth began playing soccer at Mary Persons high school and played at Macon Soccer Club for two years before attending College at Georgia Southern University. During his time at GSU, he was an assistant varsity soccer coach at Statesboro high school (AAAA) where he helped lead the team to a region runner-up and a sweet-16 playoff appearance followed by a region championship the next year and an elite-8 playoff appearance.

Upon College Graduation, Coach Seth left Statesboro to take a teaching job at Rock Springs Christian Academy where he started the soccer program and went 8-1-2 in the first year and 4-4 in region play the following year. Coach Seth is currently in his second season as the head JV boys coach and assistant Varsity boys coach at the Academy for Classical Education (ACE) who made it to the semi-finals round of the state playoffs. Coach Seth is in the process of obtaining his D license through the USSF.

Among numerous duties as Academy Director at MSC, Coach Seth’s responsibilities will include enriching the development and experience of our current Academy players, while also growing and promoting our successful Program in the Middle GA community. Coach Ruzzo Seth will also focus his efforts on developing our current coaching staff, and recruit new high caliber coaches to enhance our current staff. Lastly, he will serve as a liaison between our Academy Program and our own Recreational and Select Programs, as well as Recreational and Elementary School programs in Middle GA.
