Ian Antley

Coach Ian joins Macon Soccer Club as a recent graduate from Mercer University. Before his College career at Mercer, Coach Ian led the East Coweta in goals scored as a sophomore, junior and senior. He sent in a remarkable 34 goals while also earning the Captains Award as a junior, followed that up by being named a team captain and scoring 44 goals as a senior. He led the Indians to an undefeated record in regional play over his four seasons and a State Tournament Final Four appearance as a senior as well.
While playing for Mercer University, Coach Ian appeared in 14 games as a freshman, making 11 starts, tallying two points on two assists. Showed his aggressiveness by ranking second on the team and tied for sixth in the ASUN Conference with 37 shots. As a sophomore, Coach Ian played and started in 18 games for tallying one goal and four assists for a total of six points on the season. Was named to the SoCon All-Conference Second Team.
During his Junior year, Coach Ian emerged as one of the Southern Conference's premier players and started all 20 matches. He earned All-SoCon First Team and All-Tournament Team honors and was also named to the NSCAA All-South Region Third Team. He was part of a Mercer back line that recorded a league-leading eight shutouts and allowed just 1.01 goals per game. He also scored two goals and had two assist on the season.
Coach Ian was named a co-captain as a senior and started all 21 matches during a stellar campaign. He led Mercer in minutes played (1,888) and proved to be a focal point of a disciplined Mercer defense that notched eight shutouts and a goals against average of 0.93 (ranked 41st nationally). He earned All-Southern Conference First Team and All-Tournament honors for the second consecutive season while being named to the NSCAA All-South Region Second Team, improving upon last year's third team nod. Coach Ian became one of three student-athletes in program history to earn NSCAA All-South Region honors twice in a career. Was instrumental in Mercer's SoCon Tournament run by helping the Bears hold both opponents scoreless.
